About Me
At Olathe Northwest, I am in the 21st Century Academy,
e-Communications. I followed the video strand, specifically into Convergence Journalism and Sports (SID). We produce our school's version of the news, ONW...Now! with news and sports segments. We cover many areas throughout the school as well as off-campus events. The goal is to keep everyone updated with what is currently happening around Olathe Northwest.
As a senior, I am entering my fourth and final year in the program. I have been exposed to the animation and graphic design strands, but I've really found a passion in video. I hope to continue my career in Convergence Journalism as I transition into my freshman year of college this upcoming fall. I enjoy putting together news packages, interviewing and covering live events.
I will be attending Pittsburg State University in the fall, majoring in nursing. I plan to use my videography skills in college as a side hobby to make yearly recap videos of my journey in Pittsburg, Kansas. I have also learned many skills including innovation, communication, collaboration and design. The e-Communication Academy at Olathe Northwest has enriched my life by providing many opportunities to explore my interests and find my true passion.
